Big care for little eyes

A child’s vision may change often, so regular eye exams are important. With our vision plans, children up to age 19 are covered for a second eye exam each plan year. Silver and Gold plans also offer coverage for a new pair of glasses (frames and lenses) if your child’s vision prescription changes .5 diopter or more in a plan year. This coverage is available at no additional premium cost and standard copays apply.

Extra coverage during pregnancy

With our vision plan, maternity vision benefits are available to covered individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Benefits include a second eye exam during the plan year if you notice changes to your eyes. There is also coverage for 1 new pair of glasses (frames and lenses) if your prescription changes 0.4 diopter or more in a plan year. There is no additional premium; standard copays apply.

One pair, infinite styles

UnitedHealthcare Vision members can now use their vision benefits toward customizable eyewear from Pair Eyewear. Choose a base frame, add prescription lenses, and personalize your style with interchangeable magnetic toppers—all designed for comfort, quality, and everyday wear.
