What’s great about the PDL is that it gives you a list of commonly prescribed medications and lets you know which ones are covered by your plan.

The PDL also arranges medications by tiers, from typically lower-cost generic drugs on Tier 1 to higher-priced brand name ones on Tier 3. You can use the PDL to discuss lower-cost options with your doctor.
